| UCRA Upper Cervical Research Association formerly NUCCRA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Research Association, Inc.) In 1977, the UCRA (formerly NUCCRA) was established by NUCCA to expand upper cervical research. The UCRA charter, granted by the State of Michigan, restricts UCRA to research activities, conducted for the benefit of the NUCCA patient, doctor, and the profession at large. UCRA examines chiropractic principles and practices, testing its own and new hypotheses, to provide research data for NUCCA seminars, lectures, and peer reviewed articles. The UCRA Research Board is composed of two university professors with research expertise and several Board Certified NUCCA chiropractors. Non-chiropractic organizations having expertise in related fields are also employed. Financial support for the research activities of UCRA is obtained from seminars conducted by NUCCA, and tax deductible donations from chiropractors and patients.
